Evergreen State School of Driving has been teaching traffic
safety skills and building individual confidence since 1981. The school
concentrates on teenage traffic safety with special emphasis on defensive
techniques designed to protect the teenage driver from the
unexpected actions of other vehicles.
The school strongly
supports the Kent, Renton, Auburn, Highline, Federal Way, Tahoma, and Tacoma school districts. Evergreen
also provides training for adults, senior citizens, corporate business, and
many county and municipal court programs throughout the state.
The classroom hours are flexible and the atmosphere is
relaxed and conducive to learning. Students can enroll anytime the
classroom is open. No appointment is required to enroll. Instructors are
helpful and competent with 15 to 20 years of experience in the field of
traffic safety education.
Instruction
methods utilize a combination of interactive DVD presentation aligned with
a workbook that allows the student to focus on their own individual
learning style. In addition, a classroom textbook is issued to each student
at the beginning of their first class session. This work can be completed
at home on their own time
Our program is approved by the Director of Washington State
Department of Licensing. We
provide thirty (30) hours of classroom instruction and six(6) hours of
behind-the-wheel training, including
in-car observation time. The program is flexible but does have some
time constraints. The course work cannot be finished
sooner than five weeks (35 days) and must be completed within twenty (20)
weeks of enrollment. We will book only one (1) driving
appointment at a time.
The cost of the course is $480. To enroll, please
complete the enclosed application and return it either by mail or in person
with a deposit of $300. The balance is due within 45 days of
enrollment. Cash or checks accepted only. No refunds are given
after thirty (30) days.
